We all know no dealership is perfect and each department must be rated individually, but the sales department and finance department at this dealership was outstanding and very well represented. Our Sales Representative Erica Valdez was very friendly and helpful and knew the features of the vehicle very well and went over them and explained them before we left the lot. We were taken by the 2020 Corolla with just one test drive. It's completely redesigned and is loaded with many new technical safety features which you wouldn't expect in a smaller model. After the test drive and agreeing on a satisfying price I purchased it on the spot. Our needing to haggle over the price was kept to a minimum. Would also like to give the General Sales Manager Thomas Bies a big pat on the shoulder for getting involved with the final pricing. Also a big thank you to the finance representative Robert Valencia. Even though I passed on lots of options he offered as add on's he did a fantastic job explaining them to us. Overall they were happy making their sale, and profit, and we walked away satisfied with my Wife's new anniversary present. In all honesty though I will only rate sales and finance departments of the dealership as I haven't dealt with any other departments yet. Compared to other dealers, I'd definitely recommend Toyota of Santa Fe.
I have purchased 3 cars here and had them serviced for 10 years and I won't be coming back. I went for a diagnostics today to get a quote for repair on my FJ Cruiser. So I get a call from Jody with the cost of the repairs and I specifically asked if the cost of the diagnostics is included with the repair, which was a deciding factor on the repair at this time. I was told that the cost of the diagnostics is separate from the repair. So I called back to verify with a manager and was told the same thing, that the cost of the diagnostics is not included in the repair, it's a separate charge. Fine, so I go to get my vehicle and pay for the diagnostics. Return home and realize there's a "misc charge" on the invoice for $20.70. I call to ask Jody what the charge is for and was told it's for shop supplies. What shop supplies are needed for a diagnostics, I ask. I was told there's a charge for the degreaser used. What? It costs $20.70 to spray some degreaser on my engine? Fine, but this was not mentioned when I asked for the cost of the diagnostics when she called. So I mentioned to Jody that i would have done the service if they included the diagnostics fee in the repair, like every other shop on the planet. To my surprise she now states that she would have done that??? What??? I'm already home with my car and now you tell me you would have included the cost of the diagnostics? Then Jody tells me it's too late, she can only take an hour off the service if I decide to bring it back for repair. Don't worry, won't be bringing it back. Terrible service received from a long time customer.Update 5/16/2019 - Carl the service department manager called me back the very next day and explained the miscommunication. He offered to cover the diagnostics fee with the service when I bring the vehicle back. I did decide to bring it back, but it's taken me several months due to work. Carl still honored the diagnostic fee credit and the service was impeccable. Glad I brought it back and very appreciative of the service team, so I'm updating my review.
