Your regular oil change appointment is actually more about vehicle check-ups.
You should plan to get your vehicle checked at least every 5 to 6 months (or 5,000 miles whichever comes first) by a certified Toyota Mechanic. This is especially important in dusty areas and rural environments like New Mexico. A check-up allows us to prevent more costly problems later.
We have options to help you stay safe and keep your vehicle safely maintained. We have an outside waiting area. We are regularly wiping down our customer lounge areas and restrooms.
We offer service drive check-ins where you don’t actually have to come into the building. We have a complimentary shuttle to go anywhere in the Santa Fe area. Plus other options are available that allow you more remote access to service.
Take advantage of our early bird/night owl drop off while we are closed.
Ask us about our vehicle pick-up in Santa Fe where we actually pick-up your vehicle for service.
There’s never been a better time to take a fresh look at keeping your car and everything around you clean.
Before cleaning anything, wash your hands. Wash them often during the process and afterwards. If you wear gloves, wash the outside of them, just as you would your gloves.
Get a microfiber cloth to avoid scratching your vehicles interior. Avoid using paper products.
The safest to use is soap and water. Your cars interior includes surfaces that could be damaged by certain chemicals. If you have leather seats, you might want to consider a leather conditioner after cleaning.
Avoid using any chemicals with bleach, hydrogen peroxide or ammonia. These chemicals can damage your fabric or upholstery. Ammonia is especially damaging to your touch screens. Normally using something with 70% alcohol is excellent for cleaning. And its fine for most your inteior. HOWEVER, Over time this will damage your leather upholstery.
Be sure to wipe any surface you or your passengers are likely to touch. If anyone in the vehicle is likely to touch it, then wipe it off.• Clean frequently touched surfaces, including the steering wheel, door handles, shift lever, any buttons or touch screens, wiper and turn signal stalks, passenger and driver door armrests, grab handles, and seat adjusters. AND any part of the vehicle you might touch.
Simple Vigorous washing destroys the protective envelope that helps coronavirus infect other cells. Don’t drench your interior. It won’t help and it could damage your seats. If your seats are older, keep that in mind as you clean. Too much scrubbing can do more damage as well. If you have leather seats, keep their unique care in mind too.
During Covid-19, its a good idea to do this everything you enter and everytime you leave your vehicle.
